IC Information;
Character Name; Claudia Auditore da Firenze
Canon; Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
Canon Point; After Claudia and the other assassins corner Cesare outside the walls of Rome and he is arrested. (December 1503)
Note: I will only be playing from the video game canon, as the books play fast and loose with the previously established video game canon, sometimes altering details that conflict with it.
Age; 42, even if she doesn't look it... (canon birthday: January 2, 1461)

House; Sigyn's House; As an assassin, she accepted the duty of helping others: those downtrodden by the Templars or anyone else in need (besides enemies of the Assassin Order). Even several years before her induction, she immediately offered to help keep a brothel, the Rosa in Fiore, open after the previous madame was murdered, even when Ezio told her she'd be on her own in taking care of the place and her girls. She also has a mother hen side given how well she took care of her girls, going so far as to single-handedly kill the four Borgia guards that followed two of the girls back with Ezio/Senator Egidio Troche's money. This may have come about in the seven years she spent taking care of her silent mother during her earlier years of Assassin's Creed II.
Power; Growth magic

Personality;
If anyone were to say Claudia Auditore was a mild-mannered young lady, they would be sorely mistaken. If anything she is quite fiery and fierce. So much so that her father apparently had to raise her dowry by an extra 1000 florins to entice potential suitors, such as Duccio de Luca. And even when hearing he was being unfaithful behind her back (with at least six other women at the same time, according to the other girls), while she was upset, she told Ezio to "make him suffer for what he's done".

In relation to that, she also has a very vengeful side. Not only against former flames that earned her ire, but those who wronged her and her family. When Ezio returns with Uncle Mario from Rome, having originally gone to kill Rodrigo Borgia, one of the first questions out of her mouth was to ask if the man responsible for her father and other two brothers' deaths was dead. Later on, she implored Ezio to ensure Cesare's death in return for killing Mario.

As much of a stereotype as it seems, Claudia is incredibly stubborn, a trait that seems to run in the family. (I'M LOOKING AT YOU, EZIO.) If she wants to hold a grudge, she will hold a grudge. She barely spoke to Ezio after their spat when she took up the role of brothel madame for the Rosa in Fiore. She was 39 at the time, proving that her fiery spirit had not dimmed, despite spending 20+ years behind a desk. But on the other side of the line, her stubbornness could be determination or passion that reflects her strength to survive no matter what situation she ends up in. Soon after learning that her father and two brothers had been executed, she did break down into tears, but quickly pulled herself together to be strong for her mother. Later, during the raid on Monteriggioni, she could have easily gone ahead with most of the villagers to escape Cesare's army, but she (and her mother) refused to leave without him, so Claudia ran out amid the battle to find Ezio and then ran back toward the sanctuary with him in tow, even if he ended up protecting her from attacks by the Borgia troops on the way. In the three years between arriving in Rome and taking over the Rosa in Fiore and then her induction as an assassin, she apparently was determined enough to learn how to wield a knife in order to better defend herself too.

Another major aspect of Claudia's personality is the love she holds for her family, both related by blood and those she considers family or close friends. Again, she's deeply affected by the loss of her father and other brothers. She only complains in the beginning when Mario asks her to manage Monteriggioni's finances, and then settles into the role for the next 22 years because it does help her family. In that same period of time she also cares for her mother, Maria, while Ezio runs around doing "the family work". She runs back into the fight to find her brother while the city is under attack, despite not having a way to defend herself. Despite Ezio's threat that she'd be on her own, she extends her heart to the girls of the Rosa in Fiore and takes charge of them, and continues to do so for years after. Even in the beginning of their argument, Claudia appears to start to say something-- perhaps to try and mend their slowly-deteriorating bond-- but Ezio cuts her off to talk business and her tone goes stiff and frosty. While this treatment of him carries on for the next three years, they eventually make up over the Borgia guards she killed on her own. Quite possibly because she at least knows that Ezio is her only family left (besides her mother) and they had been through and lost too much to let stubbornness and stupid arguments get between them. Sure they may fight here and there, but they'll make up in the end. Tying in with the strong family bonds she maintains, she has a bit of a mother-hen syndrome, the reasons for which I touched upon while explaining why she would be best suited for Sigyn's house. Again, there are her girls at the bordello that she has taught various lessons (given as mini skill-missions for the player, just as is done at the thieves guild and mercenary headquarters) and she protects them as best she can as well.

Log Sample;
The call to arms had come. Cesare was rallying the last of his supporters at Rome's main gate. She and the other assassins would join Ezio and face Cesare and those who were still loyal. Her dress was exchanged for a tunic, trousers, and hooded cape. A sword in hand and a few throwing knives found on rooftop guards that ventured too close to her building tucked into her belt and boots were enough. Her first significant mission since joining the Order, going against the man responsible for her uncle's death. It brought her some satisfaction that now she could help, she could do something, instead of waiting to hear how things turned out. She was stronger than three years ago, able to hold her own instead of needing her brother to protect her all the time. But she knew if she needed it, he would be watching her back, just as she would watch his.

Her girls in the streets all wished her luck on the way to the gate. Their well-wishes fueled her drive, a reminder that she was also fighting for their safety and well-being. One more reason to keep Cesare from getting his way. The citizens of Rome passed by her without a second-glance, which suited her just fine. As an Assassin, she would protect them from the threat Cesare presented to them and their everyday lives. We work in the dark to serve the light, we are Assassins. Words that were now burned into her heart with their creed just as the mark that identified her as an Assassin was into her ring finger. And now it was time to practice what she preached.
